Commission Policy

Overview

Thank you for your interest in commissioning a custom artwork from Jennifer Oliveira. This policy outlines the general process and terms for commissioned pieces. By requesting a commission, you agree to the terms described below.

Commission Requests

To request a commission, please contact us through the website contact form or by email. Include as much detail as possible about the artwork you would like, such as size, medium, color preferences, and any reference images.After reviewing your request, we may discuss the project details via email to ensure the concept and expectations are clearly understood.Please ensure that any reference materials you provide do not infringe on the copyrights or intellectual property rights of others.

Pricing

Commission pricing depends on the size, complexity, and medium of the artwork.The minimum commission price is €250. A personalized quote will be provided once the project details are agreed upon.

Payment Terms

To reserve a commission slot, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% payment is due once the artwork is completed and approved before shipment.Payment details will be provided during the commission agreement process.

Timeline

Estimated completion time for commissioned artworks typically ranges between 4–8 weeks, depending on the scope and complexity of the project.Progress updates may be shared during the process. If unexpected delays occur, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Revisions

A limited number of minor revisions may be included during the creation process.Significant changes that alter the original concept may require additional fees depending on the extent of the revision.

Shipping and Delivery

Once the commission is completed and final payment is received, the artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped.Delivery methods may vary depending on the size and type of artwork. Cancellations

If the client cancels the commission after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.If a cancellation occurs before work has begun, the deposit may be refunded.In the unlikely event that we are unable to complete the commission, a full refund will be issued.

All intellectual property rights and copyright for commissioned artwork remain with the artist.The client may display the artwork for personal use. Commercial use, reproduction, or distribution of the artwork requires prior written permission and may involve additional licensing fees.Unless otherwise agreed, we reserve the right to display the commissioned artwork in portfolios, on the website, or on social media for promotional purposes. No personal information associated with the client will be shared without consent.

Shipping Origin

Orders are shipped from Portugal (South Bay Lisbon) using trusted shipping carriers such as CTT for domestic deliveries and DHL or equivalent carriers for international shipments.Worldwide free shipping is included for paintings shipped rolled in protective tubes, as well as smaller artworks shipped flat in protective envelopes. The cost of shipping for these artworks is already included in the listed price on our website.Original canvas paintings shipped fully stretched may require an additional shipping cost depending on the size of the artwork and the delivery destination. If you wish to receive an artwork fully stretched, please contact us with the artwork name and your delivery address to obtain a shipping quote before completing your purchase. Requests made after purchase will have shipping costs calculated and billed separately.Additional charges may also apply for special requests such as express delivery or specific packaging requirements.

International Shipping

International shipping is available to selected countries.Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country. • Larger canvas artworks may be rolled and shipped in a tube for safer international transport and can be stretched by a local framer upon arrival.Certain textured or delicate artworks may require additional protective packaging.
